Ross began working at Higgins & Higgins as a clerk in 1969 and was admitted as a Solicitor in 1974. He has over 40 years experience in offering legal advice; always ready to make the tough decisions for his clients’ benefit.
Ross is a Personal Injury Law Accredited Specialist, a Motor Traffic Accident Specialist and a Litigation Specialist. He is also a Local & District Court Arbitrator and Public Notary, and specialises in Insurance and Compensation Claims and Contesting Estates.
He is actively involved in the local community and was a Rugby Union referee at the highest level, and in 2008 was inducted into the Legend category of the Lithgow Sporting Hall of Fame. Ross is married to Elizabeth.
Damien has worked in the law for almost thirty years. Initially, he worked as a court clerk assisting the Magistrate at Penrith Court, but since qualifying as a solicitor in 1987 he has worked exclusively in private practice assisting his clients with a wide variety of legal problems. After receiving a broad general introduction to the law, including court appearances, wills and estates, commercial law, Supreme Court equity matters and conveyancing, Damien developed a passion and reputation for assisting people in court with an emphasis on Family Law and Crime.
He is an experienced court room advocate, an Accredited Specialist in Family Law and is also registered with NSW Legal Aid General Crime Panel and Family Law Panel. He is able to draw upon his wide ranging experience to find solutions for his clients.
Damien and his wife have settled in the Lithgow area after regularly visiting and spending time in the region since the 1970's. He has four adult children and two grandchildren and enjoys quiet family life. He has a keen interest in local history and has served on the board of a major historical museum. He enjoys live music in his spare time.

With many years experience as both a prosecutor and defence solicitor, Ken is considered one of the Central West's best and most highly sought after criminal law solicitors.
Ken was admitted to practise as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW in 2004 and has more than 10 years experience working exclusively in Criminal Law.
Having commenced his legal career at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) in Sydney, Ken took the opportunity to escape the big smoke to take up a position at the DPP's Bathurst office, where he served as a prosecutor for a number of years. He then moved to defence, initially at Legal Aid in Orange, and then at Aboriginal Legal Services in Bathurst.

Admitted to practise in 1975, Klaus was a sole practitioner in Glenbrook, on the lower Blue Mountains, from 1979 to 2002. He specialises in Property, Commerce, Wills and Estates.

Patrick joined the firm in March 2011 and is a Personal Injury Law Accredited Specialist, Honorary Fellow of the Australasian College of Legal Medicine, and a member of both the Australian Lawyers Alliance, and North Metropolitan Law Society.
With more than 25 years legal experience, Patrick has a solid grounding in General Practice, Insurance Law and Litigation. Since the early 1990s, however, he has focused on Personal Injury law.

Nicole commenced a Clerkship with Higgins Lawyers in June 2015 to complete the practical legal training component of her qualifications, having been awarded a Bachelor of Arts Degree from The University of Sydney, majoring in Sociology and Social Policy, and a Bachelor of Laws Degree from The University of New South Wales.
Nicole successfully completed her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice in January 2016 and was admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales as a Solicitor on 22 April 2016.
She is now employed on a full time basis with Higgins Lawyers, working mainly in the area of Family Law and assisting our Family Law Accredited Specialist Damien McKay.
Nicole is a local to the Lithgow area, growing up and attending school in the region. She relocated to Sydney in order to complete her tertiary education and has now returned to practice within the Lithgow community.
