Higgins Lawyers has built a long‑standing reputation for integrity, trusted advice and genuine community connection.
For generations, the Higgins family has shaped the firm’s values and its commitment to serving clients with professionalism, care and fairness. That legacy remains a cornerstone of the firm today.
Higgins Lawyers is now led by Paul Eather, who became Principal and owner on 1 October 2025, guiding the firm into its next chapter while upholding the principles that have defined it for more than eight decades.
Since joining the firm in 2019, Paul has worked closely alongside long‑standing Principal Ross Higgins as his mentee, developing a strong alignment with the firm’s client‑focused philosophy and practical approach to legal problem‑solving. This considered and collaborative transition has ensured continuity for clients while providing a strong foundation for the firm’s future leadership.
Today, Higgins Lawyers moves forward under Paul’s leadership, supported by a skilled, experienced and committed team of legal and conveyancing professionals. Together, the team brings depth of knowledge across the firm’s core practice areas and shares a common focus on clear advice, consistent service standards and outcomes delivered with professionalism and care. This collective approach ensures clients continue to receive the personal attention and trusted guidance that have long defined the firm.
In an increasingly complex and highly regulated legal environment, Paul and the Higgins Lawyers team are committed to strong governance, best‑practice risk management and continuous improvement. By embracing evolving professional and compliance standards, the firm maintains efficiency, transparency and accountability—ensuring regulatory obligations are met while continuing to deliver high‑quality legal services.
The firm’s combined expertise spans Family Law, Criminal Law, Conveyancing, dispute resolution and general litigation, as well as Wills, Estates and Probate matters. Working collaboratively, the team adopts a practical, solutions‑focused approach tailored to each client’s circumstances. Paul’s experience as an AMDRAS‑accredited mediator further strengthens the firm’s focus on early resolution where appropriate and minimising conflict wherever possible.
Together, Paul and the Higgins Lawyers team remain committed to carrying forward the firm’s proud tradition of trusted legal service, while building a strong, sustainable and future‑focused practice that continues to serve individuals, families and businesses across the region.
